5 WAYS TO PREVENT MALARIA

Malaria is a disease contracted from mosquito bites.It Kills people every day. so there is the need for one to prevent him or her self from mosquito.As the saying goes, prevention is better than cure.
They are:

1. SLEEP IN MOSQUITO TREATED NETS

The best preventive measure of not getting malaria is to sleep in mosquito treated nets, so that you will not be bitten by mosquitoes.This treated net kills mosquitoes instantly at moment it steps on the it.

2. WEED AROUND YOUR ENVIRONMENT

Don't let your environment grow so much weeds,but rather weed around your house and the environment to avoid mosquitoes getting favourable place to settle.

3. REMOVE STAGNANT WATERS

Mosquitoes setttles on the surface of standing waters in gutters and cans to lay eggs thereby breeding more of them.So one needs to empty standing waters found in gutters and cans.See to it that choked gutters are drained to bring about free flow of waters.

4. USE INSERTICIDES

Mosquito inserticides such as coils and repellants can be used to prevent bites. Also can spray his room and if possible the environment one lives with inserticide sprays from time to time to avoid bites.

You can rub your body with mosquito repellant creams when going to bed at night to prevent bites.

22 ND April which is World Environment Day.Going green is the theme.Its our fervent prayer that the world would be green always.There are several ways of going green. Some of them are as follows:

• Re-planting of trees

People should start planting trees at convenient places at their homes, neighbourhood and condusive places.And for every tree cut down in the forest for timber or any other purpose should be replanted

• Make a backyard garden

Start by making a backyard garden. Any available stretch of land should be use for a garden.You plant vegetables like flowers,tomatoes,maize, cassava or any common plant in your vesinity.

• Cleaning of the environment

People should clean their environment by weeding around their houses,put flower gardens around clean.Also get rid of stagnant waters to stop bleeding mosquitoes.

• Don't add Poisonous substances to rivers

Poisous substances such as DDT and acids should not be thrown into rivers and water bodies because it kills fishes together with their fingerings.

• Stop easing your self into rivers

People turn to ease themselves into rivers and water bodies and should be stopped

USES OF KENTE

What is Kente? It is a type of weaved cloth worn mostly by Royal Africans especially Ghanaians (Ashantis in particular).It potraits their rich culture. It is made from cotton threads, in which the cotton threads are weaved into different types of cloths. They are colourful and beautiful. They are very expensive because a person is rated how rich or quality he or she is based on the type of Kente cloth worn.It worn by both men and women.

USES OF KENTE

1. BIRTH DAYS

During occations of birthday celebrations,one can choose to wear his or her rich Kente cloth.This brights the person since such occassions are meant to bring happiness.

2. OUTDOORING

After the safe arrival of an expecting family member,that is a new born baby.Then is all about merry making and fun,the family members can choose to be in Kente cloths on the day of the outdooring.This reveals the expensive and quality nature of the family.

3. ENGAGEMENT AND WEDDING CEREMONIES

During ceremonies like engagement and wedding, couples and family member can be in Kente during the time of refreshments, dinner,lunch etc.This can differenciat the family members from visitors or attire can be Kente in general.
